Debuting in 1988, the Saturday morning animated series GARFIELD AND FRIENDS became hugely popular among family audiences. Based on the world’s most widely syndicated comic strip, the show ran until 1994. GARFIELD AND FRIENDS was really two shows in one, composed of GARFIELD (which starred a fat orange cat, his dog pal Odie, and their owner, single-guy John Arbuckle) and U.S. ACRES (about a group of barnyard animals running their own farm). The second volume of GARFIELD AND FRIENDS contains 24 30-minute episodes, each made up of three parts: two GARFIELD spots with one U.S. ACRES spot in the middle.
